School Details
For more than 125 years, University of the Cumberlands, located in Williamsburg, Kentucky, has provided promising students of all backgrounds a first-class, liberal arts education within a Christian context. In 1888, a group of Baptist Ministers founded a small college in Kentucky known as the Williamsburg Institute, for the purpose of preparing young adults for lives as servant leaders. In 1913, following the acquisition of Highland College, Cumberland College was born. The school became the University of the Cumberlands in 2005 and seeks “to be the premier liberal arts university that encourages intellectual and spiritual growth, leadership and service.”
Students can earn associate’s, bachelor’s, master’s, and doctoral degrees, both on-campus and online. From self-paced learning to innovative online tools that help students retain course materials and maintain contact with their instructors – University of the Cumberlands keeps students on track to achieve their academic and career goals.
