Founded in 1877 by a group of exiled Italian Jesuits living in New Mexico, Colorado's Regis University is the only Jesuit Catholic university in the Rocky Mountain West, and one of twenty-eight Jesuit colleges and universities in the United States. Inspired by St. Ignatius Loyola, the mission of Regis University is "to educate men and women of all ages to make a positive impact in a rapidly-changing global society. We encourage our students to seek truth, live purposeful lives, and continually examine and attempt to answer the question: 'How ought we to live?'"
Regis offers a full range of undergraduate and graduate degrees and certificates designed for today's job market and changing societal needs. There are five colleges from which students earn degrees:
- Regis College
- College of Contemporary Liberal Studies
- Rueckert-Hartman College of Health Professions
- College of Computer and Information Sciences
- College of Business and Economics
Many of the bachelor's and master's degree programs can be earned completely online, as well as several certificates and licenses and a few doctoral degrees.
