Point Park University was founded in 1933 as a one-room business school and operated under the name Business Training College. By 1960, the school started adding two-year programs and became Point Park Junior College. In 1965, when the school became a full-fledged four year institution, the name was changed to Point Park College. Then in 2004, university status was granted and the school was officially renamed Point Park University.
Today, Point Park University is a private liberal arts university that provides associate’s, bachelor’s, and master’s degrees and certificates from the following schools:
- School of Arts and Sciences
- School of Business
- School of Communication
- Conservatory of Performing Arts
Many of the bachelor's and master's degrees in education and business fields are available in fully online or hybrid formats. Online programs in other disciplines are also available.
