Kent State University is a large public university with a main campus located in Kent, Ohio. In addition to the primary campus, Kent State also has a number of campuses throughout Ohio and academic sites in locations including New York City, Italy, and Brazil.
Founded in 1910 as the Kent State Normal School, it began as a school to train teachers. Over the years, the university has expanded and today offers undergraduate and graduate degrees in many different areas of study including liberal arts, history, journalism, business and several others.
