Founded in 1906 by the Staked Plains Baptists Association, Wayland Baptist University is a four year, private, not-for-profit Baptist institution of higher education. The main campus is located in Plainview, Texas. WBU’s mission “exists to educate students in an academically challenging, learning-focused and distinctively Christian environment for professional success and service to God and humankind.”
Undergraduate fields of study include a two-year associate’s transfer program and four-year degrees. Graduate programs lead to master's and doctoral degrees. The university houses degree programs in the schools of:
