Utica’s CCNE accredited Online Master of Science in Nursing - Family Nurse Practitioner supports preparation for the Family Nurse Practitioner certification through the American Nurses Credentialing Center or the American Academy of Nurse Practitioners National Certification Board. 

As a graduate of Utica’s Online Master of Science in Nursing - Family Nurse Practitioner program, you’ll be able to provide a higher level of patient care by diagnosing and treating patients, establishing community programs, and completing research that changes healthcare.  

This 48 credit hour program can be completed in as few as 32 months. Students are expected to take 6 credits per 16-week semester, or one class every 8 weeks. 

This program includes an in-person, three-day immersion experience on the Utica University New York campus where you will participate in a simulated clinical setting. You’ll gain hands-on experience with a variety of essential everyday skills and earn 775 practicum hours, which can be applied towards the 1,000 hours required for a DNP degree.
