School Details
Robert Morris University is a private, not-for-profit institution located in Moon Township, which is a suburb of Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania. The school was founded in 1921 as the Pittsburgh School of Accountancy. In 1962, the school purchased 230 acres which is at its current location. A short time later, the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania granted the school permission to award associates degrees, and the school became Robert Morris Junior College. Around 2002, the university changed to its present day name.
RMU continues to offer both undergraduate and graduate degrees through 5 academic schools:
- School of Business
- School of Communications and Information Systems
- School of Nursing and Health Sciences
- School of Education and Social Sciences
- School of Engineering, Mathematics and Science
RMU additionally offers several undergraduate, graduate degrees, and certificates that are fully online.
