The Bachelor of Arts in Human Development is an online human services degree from Pacific Oaks College.  This flexible program is designed to meet the needs of students with a variety of scheduling needs and learning styles.  It also allows students to choose the concentration best suited to meet their interests and career goals.  Available concentrations are:

• Early Childhood Education and Development—Program focus is on working with diversity in early childhood classrooms as well as understanding how social and cultural elements effect the learning environment and child development.

• Elementary Education—Combines human development theory with the practical skills and understanding needed to develop creative and innovative learning environments while also focusing on how a student’s educational development is influenced by their experiences and environment.
• Social Change—Prepares graduates to evoke large-scale positive change in organizations, schools, or communities through activism, social change, and policy making.
• Working with Adults—Students study diversity in adult environments so they will understand the importance of social and cultural context to an adult’s existential experience in various life stages.

Pacific Oaks offers an online bachelor's in Social Work tailored to professionals who wish to devote their career to community service and learning. The Master of Arts in Human Development is an online human services degree program from Pacific Oaks College.  This degree is available with four areas of concentration. 

Students can choose from the following:

• Early Childhood Education and Development - Students will study the theories of human development and the biological, psychological, emotional, and sociological factors that contribute to an individual’s growth.
• Social Change - Students interested in social activism, social change, and policy making will acquire the tools to help make a positive impact.
• Leadership in Education and Human Services - Students will focus on developing collaborative leadership skills, fine-tuning interpersonal communication skills, and facilitating team building.
• Ecological Perspectives of Lifespan Development - Students will work in integrated, cross-generational settings, including family and community advocacy, as well as adolescents, adults, or the elderly.
