About Minnesota State University-Moorhead
Moorhead became the site for a new school in Northwestern Minnesota in 1885. In 1921, the state legislature authorized the school to award bachelor’s degrees, renaming the school Moorhead State Teachers College. The school changed its name to Minnesota State University Moorhead in 2000 and offers a variety of undergraduate and graduate degrees today.
