School Details

Founded in 1831, Xavier is a Jesuit Catholic university located in Cincinnati, Ohio. The Jesuit heritage embraces “Cura Personalis,” which is the emphasis on the view that each person is a unique creation of God. This is found in the personal attention in the classroom, respect for diversity and difference, and an emphasis on holistic care for the mind, body, and spirit. Xavier strives to educate students intellectually, morally, and spiritually, shaping students’ minds and hearts as they meet the needs of a global society and reach out to God.  

Offering more than 90 majors, Xavier is rooted in the liberal arts tradition. Xavier offers undergraduate and graduate degrees and certificates from the following colleges:
