Founded in 1965, Northwest Technical College first opened as a means to provide carpentry and automotive skills to area students. Today, NTC is a public, two-year institution of higher education, with its main campus located in Bemidji, Minnesota. NTC states a mission to “integrate the value of work with the educational experience to develop resourceful lifelong learners with knowledge, skills, and attitudes to secure rewarding careers and satisfying lives in an increasingly technologically focused, globally interdependent, multicultural society.”
NTC awards associate's degrees, certificates, and diplomas. They also partner with Distance Minnesota in order to provide students with online associate’s degree and diploma options.
