Mount Aloysius College is a private not-for-profit, four-year liberal arts institution of higher education, located in the city of Cresson, Pennsylvania. Mount Aloysius College is affiliated with the Roman Catholic Church. The Religious Sisters of Mercy formed Mount Aloysius in 1853 as a women’s college in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania. Today, the institution is co-educational and welcomes students of all denominations to attend. The school’s campus is located on nearly 200 acres in a rural community in the Allegheny Mountains.
