Mayville State University is a four-year public school located in Mayville, North Dakota. Established in 1889, it is one of North Dakota’s original colleges. The Mayville Normal School became a teachers college in 1925 when it began providing general education and offering four-year degrees. The institution’s present name, Mayville State University, was approved by the legislature in 1987 to reflect its increased educational offerings.
Mayville State University offers associate’s, bachelor’s, and master’s degrees. A wide range of degrees and certificate programs are offered fully online. MSU features small class sizes for personalized learning experiences whether on campus or online. More than 30 programs can be completed through MSU Online. Online advisors connect with students, no matter their location, to provide individualized academic and personal support.
