About Hinds Community College
Established in 1917, Hinds Community College is a large community college in Mississippi with several campuses. Their mission is to develop the student's passion, purpose, and profession, and to move people and communities forward. They also strive to support Mississippi's culture and economy. To accommodate learners who have jobs or who cannot attend on-campus classes due to other responsibilities, HCC offers online associate's degrees and certificates in areas such as business, computers, criminal justice, and healthcare. HCC online has a wide variety of course topics available since they are involved in a consortium of Mississippi schools. All online students participate in a virtual orientation so they can become familiar with the platform.
