About Truett McConnell University
Founded in 1946, TMU strives to equip students to fulfill the Great Commission by fostering a Christian worldview through a biblically centered education, a mission known as Faith Fluency™. From its humble beginnings in a building that now stands as a hardware store, TMU stands today on more than 200 acres in the foothills of the Blue Ridge Mountains in Northeast Georgia. Truett McConnell’s original intent included training for pastoral ministry, and now the school has expanded to include the liberal arts and sciences. Students receive a unique education that is based on these four pillars: love the Lord, love his Word, love the Church, and love the lost.
TMU offers around 50 bachelor’s and master’s degrees. Online degree programs for bachelor’s and master’s degrees are available through TMU Online. Known as one of the best online colleges in Georgia, TMU Online gives students the flexibility to obtain a meaningful, Christ-centered education around their busy schedules. Each course emphasizes the lens of Scripture and TMU Online is built with a Christian worldview.
