West Coast University is a private health-care oriented university with campus locations in Los Angeles, Anaheim, and Ontario, California, and Dallas, Texas. West Coast University was founded in 1907, and was originally a small ophthalmology school. During its first 50 years, WCU offered a variety of programs including aeronautical engineering, applied sciences, and mathematics, and became one of the leading schools in offering bachelor degree programs geared towards meeting the needs of working adults to help their careers. In 2004, WCU began focusing solely on the education of health care professionals.
WCU offers bachelor's, master's, and doctoral degrees in fields such as nursing, physical therapy, pharmacy, and occupational therapy. Undergraduate and graduate nursing programs are offered completely online.
