Program Details

The online Master of Science in Respiratory Care program is designed to produce leaders and consultants in Respiratory Care.  Students will gain the knowledge and competencies needed to become experts in Respiratory Care leadership, education, and research, and to achieve advanced clinical credentials.  The curriculum is composed of five major student learning objectives:  knowledge, leadership, project management, evidence-based practice, and professional communication.


  • Bachelor’s degree in Respiratory Therapy, related science, or social science from a regionally accredited college or university
  • Minimum GPA 3.0 (on a 4.0 scale)
  • Registered Respiratory Therapist (achieving and maintaining the RRT Credential offered by the National Board of Respiratory Care)
  • Current state license to practice Respiratory Therapy
  • Professional experience consisting of at least 2 years of clinical Respiratory Therapy practice
  • Statement of purpose
  • Two letters of recommendation
