Program Details

The online Doctor of Philosophy in Educational Leadership and Policy Studies is designed to prepare graduates for careers in policy analysis, K-12 leadership, higher education administration, student affairs, institutional assessment, and more. The goal of this online program is to address systemic issues that prevent students from achieving their full academic potential. Most students complete the program in four or five years.

Classes included in the program include:

  • History, social, and cultural contexts of education
  • Independent research
  • K-16 organizational and leadership theory research

Students enrolled in the Ph.D. program will be part of a cohort during their coursework. Each student candidate is evaluated on professional dispositions by faculty and staff. By obtaining the online Doctor of Philosophy degree in Educational Leadership and Policy Studies, graduates will have the necessary skills for advanced leadership positions in the field of education.
