Program Details

The Certificate in Cybersecurity at St. Petersburg College gives you the skills to help analyze, detect and protect computer networks from external threats. The program goal is to provide students with both the technical ability and problem solving skills to stay at the forefront of network security.  In addition to the Linux operating system, you will cover:

  • File encryption and cryptography
  • Auditing
  • Firewalls
  • Data reporting and interpretation

With a certificate in Cybersecurity from St. Petersburg College, you may be eligible to sit the following industry certifications:

  • CompTIA Security + 
  • EC-Council Certified Ethical Hacker
  • Cisco CCNA Cyber Operations

The coursework of this certificate program transfers to the online AS degree in Cybersecurity, which, after that completion, transfers to a BAS in Technology Development and Management.
