The Master of Science in Software Engineering from St Mary's University is an online software engineering degree for those interested in careers in the field but need the flexibility of distance learning. The goal of this program is to provide the knowledge and skills needed to develop and manage large-scale software systems, focusing primarily on quality, reliability, and maintainability. - Thesis option: Requires 24 credit hours of course work plus 6 credit hours of thesis direction culminating in an oral thesis defense
- Project option: Requires 27 credit hours of course work plus 3 credit hours for a Capstone Master Project which is presented and defended orally to a master project committee
In addition, you have the option of earning a combined degree consisting of both a bachelor’s and a master’s degree in Software Engineering that can be completed in as little as five years.
