San Diego State University offers an online Master of Public Health in Epidemiology. Designed for professionals with at least three years of work experience, the program provides advanced knowledge in public health. Through your studies, you will learn skills such as:

  • How to identify and study the causes of injury and disease in population groups
  • Lead life-saving research projects
  • Work towards creating healthier communities by identifying environmental, biological, behavioral, and social risk factors
  • Manage diverse teams in public and private settings

All coursework is online. A supervised field practicum provides invaluable hands-on experience. You will work with a public health organization (hospital, healthcare organization, government agency, managed care organization,  research institution, etc.) within your community.
