Program Details

The online Associate in Applied Science in Health Information Technology program is for students who are interested in data management, computers and technology, and the healthcare industry.  The curriculum includes professionally related subjects such as topics in medical terminology, computer programs, coding, introduction to health records, health information and their legal aspects, pathophysiology and pharmacology, and supervision of health information.  Graduates are prepared to work in agencies such as health care facilities and providers, insurers, pharmaceutical companies, software companies, and researchers.
