Northampton Community College, a public, two-year institution, was founded in 1967 and originally offered eight career programs, five transfer options and an individualized development program to its 846 students. By 1970, the Commission on Higher Education of the Middle States Association of Colleges and Schools accredited Northampton Community College. Northampton Community College instills the mission to seek to provide excellent, accessible and comprehensive learning experiences in partnership with the dynamic, diverse communities that it serves.
Northampton offers academic programs in a number of fields with degrees and certificates available. These programs are designed to fit the diverse needs of students at Northampton Community College and students can choose to transfer to a four-year institution or directly enter the workforce. For students who require a more flexible schedule, Northampton Community College offers an online learning campus. Students can earn online degree credits, as well as complete online degree and certificate programs.
