About Mitchell Technical College
Mitchell Technical College is a public, two-year institution of higher education, located in the city of Mitchell, South Dakota. MTI was founded in 1968 as part of a statewide system of four technical institutes. The mission of MTI is to “provide skills for success in technical careers.”
Mitchell Technical offers on-campus and online programs in technical and professional subjects. Certain programs of study can be completed fully online. Online programs include speech-language pathology, small business management, medical office, and administrative office specialist degrees. MTI students have access to many online and in-person resources for academic success.
