Madonna University is a four-year private Catholic university located in the small city of Livonia, Michigan, near Detroit. The school was founded in 1937 by the Felician Sisters on the principles of the Franciscan order of the Catholic faith. Madonna University aims to provide a learning environment where students will gain intellectual, spiritual, and personal growth to achieve success in the classroom, boardroom, and across all aspects of life. Although the college is strong in its affiliation with the Roman Catholic Church, students of many denominations attend and are welcomed at MU.
