Program Details

The online Medical Coding Specialist Technical Diploma prepares students for successful careers in medical coding. Coding serves many purposes, including research, public health, reimbursement, and patient care. This part-time program takes at least two years to complete.

Courses include, but are not limited to:

  • Healthcare revenue management
  • ICD procedure coding
  • Digital literacy for healthcare

Some classes require students to take proctored final exams on campus or through other arrangements. Career options for graduates include Analyst, Outpatient Coder, Health Unit Coordinator, Medical Coding Specialist, and others.
