With three campuses in the heart of Los Angeles, Loyola Marymount University strives to enroll academically ambitious, multicultural, and diverse students. Founded in 1911, the university is committed to Roman Catholicism with a combined heritage drawn from the Jesuits, Marymount Sisters, and Sisters of St. Joseph of Orange. Loyola provides opportunities for intellectual engagement and real-world experiences.
More than 60 undergraduate and 40 graduate degrees and certificates are available to distance-learning students. The school is classified as a National University/High Research Activity (R2). This designation is a testament to the high level of research and availability of doctoral degrees at LMU.
