Liberty University’s 100% online Master of Arts (M.A.) in Ethnomusicology – Music Education can prepare students to teach others about the rich musical cultures of other regions around the world. Our program is accredited by the National Association of Schools of Music (NASM), so students can be confident they are receiving a world class education. Our classes provide foundational knowledge of the study of ethnomusicology. The curriculum includes the completion of a regional seminar, thesis, and comprehensive exam. Liberty’s courses will include Worship and Culture, Music in America, Principles of Music Technology, and Principles of Curricula and Pedagogy for Music Education, essential topics for a music educator.
