Licensed teachers and counselors can take on leadership roles with a Graduate Certificate in School Administration and Supervision. This program provides master’s-educated professionals with the credentials they need to work as a principal or superintendent.

Students in this program will gain valuable skills in leadership and communication. Coursework meets Virginia Department of Education requirements for pursuing advanced licensure in school administration and may be accepted by other states through reciprocity agreements. Students should check with their state board of education to verify requirements.

  • This program is designed to meet Virginia Department of Education (VDOE) requirements for pursuing advanced licensure in school administration. Residents of other states may apply for licensure through reciprocity. 
  • Students enrolling in Educational Leadership programs are not eligible to receive Georgia Tier I or Tier II Educational Leadership Certification.
