With guidance from Liberty’s seasoned faculty, students can develop the tools needed to work in a variety of human services settings — both in the United States and abroad. This degree can also provide a solid foundation for future graduate studies in human services, counseling, psychology, or social work. The core content of the online human services degree covers case management, multicultural counseling, abnormal psychology, crisis intervention, social welfare and policy, and chemical dependency. Students will also complete an internship in order to hone their skills in a real-world human services setting. Upon graduation, students can pursue roles as case managers, children’s services workers, community outreach workers, family support specialists, group home workers, mental health technicians, program coordinators, and social service specialists.
