Liberty University’s 100% online Bachelor of Science in Bible – Humanitarian Action and Human Rights can provide students with a deep understanding of the Bible and practical skills in helping those who are suffering. In the wake of a crisis, there is an immense need for people who have a desire to help in any way possible. Our courses can help them strengthen their foundational knowledge of the Bible. This foundation can help students learn to address human rights issues and humanitarian response through a biblical worldview. Practical skills that are applicable when providing humanitarian aid are discussed in our courses. Students can become equipped to address issues in areas such as disaster relief, human rights violations, human trafficking, the sanctity of life, and trauma healing. Specific courses required for the specialization are Introduction to Humanitarian Action, Humanitarian Action in Praxis, A Theology of Humanitarian Response, and Theological Foundations for Human Rights. Such practical knowledge can prepare students for different possible careers including advocacy advisors, Christian nonprofit workers, national or international humanitarian aid workers, ministry assistant or coordinators, outreach coordinators, refugee care workers, or similar. Students can maintain commitments to their jobs, families, and communities while continuing their education with Liberty University’s BS in Bible – Humanitarian Action and Human Rights.
