Program Details
The online Master of Education in Teaching English to Speakers of Other Languages (TESOL) prepares teachers to educate an increasingly diverse population of students through inclusive practices. The curriculum focuses on teaching students who are culturally and linguistically diverse in inclusive environments through a program including core courses in curriculum development, collaborative practices, and content area teaching strategies in reading and writing. Courses include Cultural Issues for ESOL Teachers, Applied Linguistics for ESOL Teachers, Assessment of English Language Learners, and Curriculum Development for Culturally and Linguistically Diverse Learners.
