Program Details

The online Bachelor of Science in Criminal Justice with a concentration in Corrections program is designed for individuals who are seeking careers working with those placed under the custody of the correctional system.  The curriculum merges the liberal arts and professional studies to provide a solid foundation in the criminal justice field, providing an understanding of the nature of crime and society’s reaction to crime.  In this concentration, students will examine the treatment of juvenile offenders and examine the two-fold purpose of corrections:

  • Punish those who committed crimes
  • Rehabilitate these people for successful re-entry into society
