Hudson Valley Community College was established in 1953, and was originally called Hudson Valley Technical School, serving those returning from WWII and the Korean War. Today, it serves anyone who desires a high-quality educational experience. In fact, two of HVCC's core values are diversity and accessibility. Their mission is to provide a transformative, high-quality education that is student-centered and that will address the needs of communities, both locally and globally.
For those with busy schedules, HVCC offers a variety of flexible and convenient online classes, degree programs, and certificates. Areas of study include business, computer science, criminal justice, healthcare, and liberal arts. Online programs offer the same quality education one would get attending in-person classes.
