Program Details

The online Medical Billing and Coding Diploma prepares students for employment in medical and other health-care related offices.  Courses teach students skills and knowledge in medical terminology, information systems, office management, medical billing and coding, insurance, legal and ethical issues, formatting and word processing, and administrative and support functions for medical environments.  Graduates are able to communicate with patients and office personnel, use medical terminology and vocabulary effectively, code in medical offices or other outpatient facilities, and code in hospitals or other inpatient facilities.
