Grand Valley State University, established in 1960 as a response to Michigan’s need for a public, four-year college in the state’s second-largest metropolitan region, is accredited by the Higher Learning Commission.  Its mission, developed and practiced over the last 60 years, is to “empower learners in their pursuits, professions, and purpose.”  Offering an online education and hybrid classes and programs, Grand Valley State provides personalized learning enhanced by active scholarship.  Make valuable connections while strengthening competencies.
