FDU’s MSW program can be completed in just two years. It features two program track options based on students’ previous academic experience. Those who have earned a BSW can pursue the advanced standing track, while students with other educational backgrounds can choose the traditional option. The curriculum combines competency-based education with extensive field experience (550 or 1000 hours depending on your chosen track) in placements like hospitals, schools, grassroots organizations and mental health services.

Upon program completion, you will have the knowledge and skills to promote physical, psychological and social well-being for clients in your community. You will be qualified to lead developmental efforts in a variety of public social services contexts and pursue careers in policy, advocacy and clinical settings.
