Duke University offers a continuing education certificate in Paralegal Specialist. Students learn skills to be an experienced paralegal, and can choose from many diverse concentrations to best suit their academic needs. Concentrations include but are not limited to, family law, immigration law, business law, administrative law, juvenile law, and more.
Students must have one of the following:
- A degree or certificate in paralegal studies (transcript required)
- A bachelor’s or associate’s degree in any field AND a minimum of three years work experience as a paralegal under the direct supervision of an attorney (résumé required)
