Since 1967, Brightpoint Community College has been serving the community as a public, two-year institution of higher education, offering high-quality, easily accessible, and affordable education for students. Brightpoint adds value to the greater Richmond community by offering freshman- and sophomore-level classes that easily transfer to four-year institutions. More than 75 career and technical programs, personal enrichment and professional development classes, and high-quality, easily accessible, and affordable education for our entire community are available at Brightpoint. Brightpoint has guaranteed admission agreements with more than 35 four-year institutions.

Certificates and associate degrees are offered for the purpose of transferring to other colleges and universities or entering the workforce. Many of these programs are available completely online. Brightpoint online degrees offer high-quality classes taught by instructors who are specifically trained to teach online. Online learning is available in a wide variety of formats to fit into each student’s busy schedule. These online programs feature classes that allow you to flex between online and in-person attendance and other programs feature classes that have no scheduled meeting times. Accelerated courses are available, as are online courses through Old Dominion University that lead to undergraduate and graduate degrees.
