Program Details

The fully online M.S. in Sport and Fitness Administration from Winthrop University is ideal for those in the sport and fitness industry who would like to gain employment or move into leadership positions in their non-profit, private, or public organization. Alumni from Winthrop's program can pursue high-level careers in professional sports, sport marketing, health and wellness centers, high school or university sports, sports events management and more.

In the program's 36-credit-hour curriculum, faculty with years of experience will teach topics relevant to the sport management field, such as marketing and promotion, legal issues, financial management, contemporary research and facility management. You can complete this master's degree with a thesis project or a practicum. If you chose the practicum and are currently employed in a relevant field, you can fulfill the required hours with exposure to a new field at the same employer. Otherwise, our faculty will work with you to find a convenient practicum location.
