This program offers two areas of emphasis:

• Reading Specialist
• Reading Teacher

The Reading Specialist emphasis leads to a Reading Specialist endorsement and contains coursework that focuses on K-12 learners. The Reading Teacher emphasis leads to a Reading Teacher endorsement and contains coursework that is appropriate for the level of the desired endorsement. If you choose, either emphasis can be completed by students who are not seeking an endorsement but simply a master’s degree.
