Program Details

The online Bachelor of Social Work is designed to prepare students for ethical, competent entry level, generalist professional social work practice, particularly in diverse urban settings.

This program has been ranked number one by the Gourman Report since 1995.

Students can expect two-thirds of the curriculum is in professional courses, with the remaining third in co-requisite courses and electives. 


A total of 120 division credits are required to complete the degree.

Earned a minimum overall grade point average of 2.50, completed (or be in progress of completing) 60 credits (must be transferrable to Wayne State if taken elsewhere), and complete (or be in progress of completing) pre-professional coursework. 

Applicants require: Two references (academic and professional). Resume. Personal interest statement. Transcripts from all colleges attended.
