Program Details

As part of the Evangelical Lutheran Church in America, Wartburg Theological Seminary offers an online Master of Arts degree.  This program centers around ministry, but also is applicable to students who are considering a career in social services, who want to become a lay person active in the church or who simply want to expand their theological knowledge. The degree can be earned in a year full-time, or can be earned over the span of several years, part-time.  Distance students are expected to attend week-long sessions on campus at the beginning of each semester and complete a January-term course or travel experience.  Subjects in Wartburg’s MA program include:
