Program Overview

Warner University offers adult students the opportunity to complete the Bachelor of Arts in Health Care Management degree program entirely online. The program is provided through an accelerated educational format in an effort to award students with the degree in as little as 16 months.

Warner University has designed the Health Care Management program for students that are interested in careers as and health care leaders and professionals. The curriculum’s goal is to provide students with a well rounded, liberal arts education while integrating a health care management focus within core courses. Upon completion of the program, students should have the experience and education that is necessary for careers as assistants and managers within a variety of health care settings.  

Students will be required to complete 48 semester credit hours to successfully earn the degree.  The credit requirement is fulfilled through the completion of 16 designated courses. Some of the courses are Budgeting & Financial Mgt in Health Care, Group Dynamics & Conflict Resolution, and The U.S. Health Care System. To be eligible for graduation, students must complete a total of 120 credit hours.

The program offers students instruction in a variety of subjects within the health care management field. Students will learn within topics such as organizational design, motivational theories, financial accounting, government health service funding, and Medicare. Students will also gain experience with the analysis of health information, evaluation of health care services for diverse populations, design of healthcare planning models, and research of health care management methods.

Transfer credit may be evaluated from other accredited universities and colleges. In addition, students may also receive credit from CLEP, DANTES and previous military training.

Courses within the program are taken one at a time. The program’s flexible courses are four weeks in length and are designed to work around the student’s career. There are a total of four semesters with each semester having four courses. In addition, the program offers small class sizes ensuring students have the same classmates the entire length of the program.
