Program Details

Walden University offers a Master of Science in Forensic Psychology online degree with a Military concentration for those interested in working with active military personnel and combat veterans.  Courses provide an understanding of military culture and the short- and long-term effects of post-traumatic stress disorder.  Students will learn how to help those currently or previously in the military deal with the various emotional challenges they may face due to frequent relocations, separation from family, or war experiences as well as the resulting substance abuse, homelessness, and other social issues.  You will gain a deeper understanding of how family members are affected by their loved one’s combat-related experiences as well.  

The curriculum also includes courses in the broader forensic psychology field.  You will look at the biological, psychological, and social factors that impact criminal behavior and gain an understanding of criminal behavior on a deeper level.
