Program Details

Valdosta University offers an online Master of Library and Information Science degree. This program helps librarians of today's modern world adapt to the changes within the library system – mainly, technology. Students learn about the needs of different types of libraries and how to best serve them.


  • Must hold a bachelor’s degree from a regionally-accredited institution
  • Must have an undergraduate GPA of 3.0 on a 4.0 scale for the last two years of undergraduate coursework OR at least a 3.0 graduate GPA in a Master's program from a regionally-accredited institution
  • Two application essays that describe the candidate's interest in the program
  • Resume or curriculum vitae
  • Three recommendations
