Program Details

The online BA in Criminal Justice degree program from the University of Wisconsin-Oshkosh is designed for students who have either two years of related work experience or an associate degree. The curriculum focuses on:

  • Writing and critical thinking skills
  • A theoretical understanding of crime
  • Data analysis
  • Policy formulation and analysis
  • Legal, ethical, administrative, and behavioral aspects of criminal justice


Bachelor completion requires 120 credits, including transfer credits. 

  • Applicants must meet at least one of the following requirements:
    • The applicant holds a 2-year associate degree from an accredited university
    • The applicant has 2-years of full time work experience in a criminal justice or related field (for instance, the applicant has two years’ experience as either a police officer, probation officer, correctional officer, social worker or other related field)
  • Letter of interest
  • At least two letters of recommendation
