Program Details

University of San Diego offers an online Master of Education degree, designed for the aspiring or current educator of the 21st century seeking knowledge of quality classroom experiences. The Inclusive Learning – Special Education and Universal Design specialization is a pathway for teachers to create more inclusive classrooms. The curriculum was designed for any K-12 educator who seeks knowledge of special education strategies and teaching methods.


  • Bachelor’s degree with a GPA of 2.75 or higher from a regionally accredited institution

  • A personal phone interview
  • Two years of prior teaching experience
  • A resume
  • Two letters of recommendation from academic or professional supervisors
  • Two 500-word essays
  • GRE score is optional
  • No teaching credential required; however, participants will need access to a classroom of students throughout the program to apply their learning and complete the course assignments as well as their action research project
