The online Associate of Applied Business in Legal Assisting program prepares students to assist attorneys as paralegals, performing legal work under the supervision of an attorney. Students will learn about black letter law and how to apply that legal knowledge in real world practice, gaining an understanding of the legal research process. You will learn about a variety of legal subjects including litigation, probate law, family law, criminal law, real estate law, contract law, juvenile law, legal research and writing, and legal ethics.
