Program Details

Through the online Master of Science in Geological Engineering, students study mineral production, geoenvironmental concerns, natural hazards, and challenges in geothermal energy. Students have access to the state’s core library and the largest geoscience libraries in the Upper Midwest. This online master’s degree program has a thesis option and a non-thesis option and can be completed in two years. 

Courses include, but are not limited to: 

  • Advanced Paleontology
  • Sedimentary Geology
  • Advanced Rock Mechanics
